Golfing-Minds was set up to help aspiring golfers and high performers get the best out of themselves on and off the course.
We help develop the mental strategies, beliefs, attitudes, and resilience needed to become a high performer and understand the difference between average and high performers, is the quality of their thinking and their mindset.
James Bargeron is a coach and trainer who has always loved sports and has a deep passion for the game of golf. Inspired at a young age by what makes certain people succeed, he became a student of psychology and personal excellence, which he continues to this day.
Having incurred a serious spinal and back injury in his thirties, it looked like life-changing surgery was the only option and he was advised to stop his sporting activities altogether. However he sought to find a way to get back to health and sports, opting on a holistic alternative to surgery.
He has worked with a rich variety of clients over the years in international commerce, negotiating complex legal oil contracts with some of the most successful companies and people in the world, as well as junior and college golfers as well as aspiring amateurs.
"I've seen and worked with plenty of people who have had talent, but many never managed to fulfil their potential, which almost always came down to their mental game and mindset.
I'm also a dad to a college golfer so I know what it's like to see them perform and the challenges they face on and off the course. A strong mental game and mindset is I believe the greatest asset you can have.
Nothing gives you greater pleasure than seeing someone you've helped succeed".
James is also a certified John Maxwell speaker and trainer, recognised as the world's leading authority on leadership.
Whilst living in S.Carolina, he was a volunteer coach with The First Tee on Hilton head Island, helping junior golfers develop their golf and life skills.
James is now based in Surrey, England.
